J.P. Hervis is an award-winning broadcast journalist who spent 13 years investigating, reporting, and writing headlining stories. He was the morning anchor at WPBF-TV, the ABC affiliate in West Palm Beach, a general assignment reporter for WSVN-TV, the Fox affiliate in Miami, a reporter/anchor at WLBT-TV, the NBC affiliate in Jackson, Mississippi, and at WBOY-TV, the NBC affiliate in Clarksburg, West Virginia. JP also reported local stories of national importance for CNN and Fox News. He began his career in production at the headquarters of ESPN in Bristol, Connecticut, and as a sports radio host and TV reporter in Gainesville, FL.
Currently, J.P. is the Founder and Operator of Brandstory Communications. The South Florida-based public relations firm represents clients around the country in a variety of industries, including medicine, technology, sports, entertainment, law, consumer goods, hospitality, and nonprofits.
In 2024 Hervis was awarded a prestigious Clio Health Silver Award in the Cause Related Public Relations (Health Awareness and Advocacy) Category for the international media relations effort in support of Change The Ref’s American Cancer Story campaign.
Brandstory Communications is a member of the Daily Business Review’s “Best of” Hall of Fame (public relations category after it was named to the media outlet’s “Best of” Top 3 Public Relations Firm three years in a row. Hervis supports a number of causes including one that is very personal to his family, living kidney donation. In February of 2017, Hervis donated his kidney to his mother, saving her life. J.P. capitalizes on any opportunity to spread the word about organ donation.
He was born and raised in Miami, graduated from the University of Florida, and now lives in Boca Raton with his wife and three sons.
Gary Widom is Brandstory Communication’s Senior Content Creator. Widom is an Emmy award-winning professional broadcaster and storyteller with nearly 20 years of experience as a news reporter, producer, editor, and videographer.
Gary applies his unique skills and vast experience as a brand journalist, publicist, and the leader of content creation for Brandstory clients. Video is an immensely powerful marketing tool in our world of online, mobile-technology where a consumer can learn about a company by a click of a button in the palm of their hand. As the Senior Content Creator, Gary helps clients connect with a target audience by developing and executing branding campaigns powered by video storytelling. These videos are used for social media, email marketing, website development, fundraising/private events, and more.
Gary focuses on productions that creatively tell the informative, interesting, and engaging stories that can have the most positive impact. He is a skilled writer and manages Brandstory’s effort to illuminate and reinforce a story’s words with amazing pictures and editing.
Gary’s television news experience includes working as an anchor and feature reporter at WPEC-TV (CBS) in West Palm Beach, FL. Before that he was a reporter at WTVJ-TV (NBC) in Miami, WINK-TV (CBS) in Naples/Ft Myers, FL, WZVN-TV (ABC) in Naples./Ft. Myers, FL, and began his news career working as an MMJ (reporter/ videographer) at WCJB-TV (ABC) in Gainesville, FL.
With his considerable experience as a journalist, Gary also supports Brandstory’s news media relations services including story development, media training, and crisis communications.
In his more than 20 years as a professional storyteller (journalist, PR professional) Widom has received three awards from the Associated Press, three Telly Awards, two Emmy nominations, and an Emmy Award.
Before transitioning into on-camera work, Gary held just about every creative position in radio. When he wasn’t live on air, Gary wrote, produced & edited comedy bits that were used on morning radio shows across the nation. He was also an on-air talent in major and medium Florida markets. Gary made stops in Miami at WPOW-FM and WHYI-FM. He also worked at WEAT-FM, WFTL-AM, and WLDI-FM in West Palm Beach.
Besides handling scripted content naturally, he is extremely comfortable talking off the cuff, relying heavily on his years of experience behind the mic at major market radio stations. This skill is key when integrating our content development and social media strategies which include live engagement with our clients’ respective audiences.
Brandstory Communications’ publicist Tasha Glazer spent 15 years in television news as a reporter, anchor, photographer, and producer. At Brandstory, Tasha is one of the lead news media relations experts and storytellers. She develops and executes earned media strategies while also supporting crisis communications, media interview training, and content development services.
During her time as a TV journalist, she covered everything from hurricanes to school issues to groundbreaking technology and various charitable causes. She often jokes that if you name something, she’s probably reported on it at least twice.
Her extensive career led her from KSEE 24 (NBC) in Fresno, California to KMID Big 2 (ABC) in Midland, Texas to KTBC Fox 7 in Austin, Texas, and finally to West Palm Beach, Florida where she worked at both WPTV NewsChannel 5 (NBC) and WPEC CBS 12 (CBS/ FOX). Tasha is also a certified wine expert, earning her WSET Level 2 Award in Wine and Spirits in 2018. She’s also working on several other wine certifications. Tasha earned degrees in Broadcast Journalism (Annenberg School of Journalism) and Political Science from the University of Southern California.
Besides wine, her passions include art collecting, music, reading, USC Trojans Football, the Dodgers and everything Disney. She lives in Jupiter with her husband and two children.
